Summary of programme benefitsAnyone thinking of starting their own business faces a tough choice: do they go it alone or do they take out a franchise? If they go it alone they are free to forge any path they choose and, if they're successful, to keep all their profits. But at the back of their minds they know that most new businesses fail and that to succeed against the odds is going to take deep reserves of courage and cash. On the other hand they could take out a proven business franchise which means that statistically they should succeed. The trouble with a franchise is that the more profitable they are, the more they seek to control you and the more they cost. Regardless of industry sector, reputable and profitable franchises typically cost upwards of £20,000 up front and then 10% to 15% of your turnover forever. Like a franchise, my programme is designed to offer the security of a proven business format, but without any of the high costs or tie-ins. Few set up costsAside from my fees, your initial business investment is comparatively low. You need little more than a telephone, a computer and business stationery to start trading. Low ongoing overheadsMy business model can be operated at a particularly low cost. For example, unless you want to recruit staff, you can work from home indefinitely. I will show you how to keep your overheads permanently low so that most of your fees are retained as profit. Access to a profitable and growing marketBritain has the world's second most lucrative recruitment market and it is set for continued long term growth. I will support you to win profitable new business and we will work together to ensure that from your first month onwards you have immediate credibility with potential clients. Capability to provide a market leading serviceBy training you to my proven format you will be able to provide your clients with a superior service. Usually you will be able to turn around their assignments faster, with better candidates and higher completion levels than your competitors. Unlimited advice and supportContact me any time during my working hours and I will do my utmost to answer your questions and to provide advice. In so doing I will be drawing upon more than 20 years of experience as a board level sales & marketer, market leading head-hunter, and practising coach. For my part, I will maintain a close working relationship with you to ensure that you don't unknowingly diverge from the proven format. I will encourage you, ongoing, to role play key activities with me - such as screening, interviewing and selling - to ensure that you are as polished and as effective as possible. Finally, I will act as an emotional buttress and support on those inevitable occasions when you feel that the going is tough. In particular I will work with you to ensure that you are maintaining balance in your life so that, as well as achieving your goals, you enjoy the journey. To be successful you will require an absolute minimum of 2 months of my support, with 5 months being the norm. Unlike a franchise which binds you in long term, you need only to retain my services until you feel confident and ready to go it alone. Outstanding value for moneyThe cost of reputable head-hunting franchises varies between £22,000 and £32,000 plus 10% to 15% of your turnover forever. For a typical programme of 5 months coaching to my format, you should budget to invest just £12,440. However you may decide you need more or less support than this. Either way, when you are ready to go it alone then your financial commitment to me ends. It's as simple as that. Consider my fee for a minute: it's roughly the same price as a mid-range (and fast depreciating) Ford Focus and it's about the cost of adding a small conservatory onto your home. Yet just think what you're getting in return: the chance to take charge of your life and to earn high rewards. Usually, but not always, your first placement alone should be enough to clear my fees and your set-up costs. My format made me a millionaire. With my support, think what it could do for you. The specific componentsFormat handbookI will provide you with your own copy of my Headhunting Handbook that contains all the theory and practice you need to successfully operate the format. This consists of about 200 pages divided into 3 sections covering The Recruitment Process, Winning New Business and Administration. As well as the essential basics, the handbook is loaded with hints and tips on how to reach peak recruiting performance. Intensive inductionThe content of the handbook forms the basis of an intensive 2-day induction course designed to supplement theory with hands-on practice. Complex concepts are fully explained and we role-play the areas where technique and practice are essential, such as effective telephone interviewing and how to head-hunt candidates. The course is conducted face-to-face by me, Paul Eyton-Jones, and there are never more than 2 attendees to ensure that you get tailored individual learning. Telephone coachingAll training courses, however well-run, have a limited shelf life. Back at your place of work lessons learned are quickly forgotten, and confidence diminishes as you confront reality. This is especially true of head-hunting which is an art form that cannot be learned purely from a course or manual. Thus the coaching element of my programme is the most important component. It is unique in the market today and replicates the mentoring and support that got me off to such a flying start in 1998. It provides you with support in every critical area from specialist advice and guidance on the one hand to keeping up your motivation and work-life balance on the other. I conduct all the coaching myself and the amount of support you receive depends entirely on your needs. I insist on an absolute minimum of 2 months: any less than this and you are undermining your chances of success. Typically, 5 months is the recommended programme duration. 3 and 6 month health-checksIncluded within the price of my programme I carry out two health-checks which take place 3 and 6 months after you terminate your ongoing coaching programme. They are designed to ensure that you fledgling business and your practices are aligned to ensure ongoing success. To save your working time these are held at your home, workplace or preferred venue. Networking opportunitiesIn addition to working with an experienced coach, it is often valuable to talk with people whose businesses are at similar stages of development. This provides moral support and companionship as well as the sharing of ideas. Wherever possible I will make these introductions. Programme costsThe most basic programme cost is £9,250 + Vat for a 2 month intensive programme. This includes the format handbook; 2 days of face to face coaching and unlimited remote coaching within my working hours. It also includes a 3 and 6 month health-check. Thereafter you can retain my services at the rate of £1,050 + Vat per month for as long as you need me. Thus the following pricing schedule applies: 2 months intensive support £9,250 + Vat * recommended duration The benefits of a franchise without the restrictionsIn summary, my programme is structured to maximise your chances of success by working to a proven format, but without the restrictions of a franchise. My charges are set at a level to enable you to have the best chance of clearing both my fee and all your other business set up costs from your first placement fee, leaving you free to keep all your future profits.
